I was booked to suply stage and lighting for and event at mercure hotel chester 3rd feb 2024 i booked a twin room moths in advance. We arived set up and gave my name at reception only to be told i have no booking.
After ahowing the recipt they found the booking for a double room. I told them this was uexeptable as we can not share a bed. They then informed me that they cannot change the room or refund me and i would have to wait for the manager to come at 9pm.
The manager richard dixon then informed me he was not prepared to do anything to help and that he would get them to recheck the booking in the morning i went to reception in the morning, and they had no knolage of this they gave me richards email i then emailed to which i have received no reply. Avoid this company at all costs!

Extremely dismissive attitude to a problem
Stayed on Saturday 25th November, nice stay , then realised we had left a bag by the bed with Xmas Dec's and sympathy cards , when my partner rang on Monday they said they would check and call back , they didn't, I rang Tues same receptionist same response, same outcome , rang Wednesday it took 40 mins to get through, was told its not there ( must have grown legs and walked out on its own ), when I asked for mangers name the line according to her was breaking up even though I had full signal , then I was cut off even though I was being polite , really annoyed and ruined our experience with them , awful customer service , obviously they don't care .

Have to drive to local pub for dinner Not good enough

Fire alarm went off this afternoon soon after arrival and we all had to evacuate

Horrible room and rude recepcionist hotel mercure Palermo
I asked to check in earlier and they said no problem
The problem is they gave me the worst bedroom that I ever seen in my entire life (room 308). Old, small, no Windows!!!
And I paid for a city view! I had a view of the emergency stair! Plus!
When I went to the reception to change the room, the recepcionist Martina said "Ok, if you want to change now wait untill 14H00!" with a tone and in a so rude way!" So now, she is laughing and i am waiting untill 14 to change the room. Plus I spoke with the cleaning ladies that told me that she is doing on purpose because they are plenty of rooms available.
Preferred solution: Just a room according with what I paid: 120 euros, city view and a 4 stars standards hotel.
